Description
This ePDF publication commemorates the revival of centuries-old cultural and artistic ties between India and Iran, facilitated by Dastkari Haat Samiti at Dilli Haat, New Delhi. Inspired by historical collaboration between Indian fine artists and Iranian calligraphers, the project showcases a unique fusion of Devanagari and Farsi calligraphy on the same pages, recreating an art form dormant for five centuries. Developed under the guidance of Jaya Jaitly and written by Prof Azarmi Dukht Safavi, this work includes contributions from prominent artists and scholars from both countries. It captures a vibrant cultural exchange through calligraphy, fine art, and multilingual storytelling in Hindi, Farsi, and Urdu.
