Description
Hakim Gulam Mohammad created a painting out of an art style customarily used to decorate objects made out of papier-mache. The soft hues of lakes and mountains and hunting scenes in the forest most reflect the states' natural environment. The textile map depicts a portion of Kashmir's capital, Srinagar, as seen on an antique embroidered shawl displayed in the state museum.
