Gond art is a form of folk or tribal art that is practiced by one of the largest tribes in India – the Gond – who are predominantly from Madhya Pradesh, but also can be found in pockets of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhatisgarh, and Odisha. Deeply connected with nature and natural elements, Gonds have traditionally drawn trees, animals, and birds. The elements of nature are the most recognizable subject matter in their art form.
