Ajrakh Block Print cloth with Kutch Kantha Embroidery. Ajrakh is a block-printed textile that is resist-dyed using natural dyes. It is made by the Khatri community in Kutch, Gujarat and is distinguished by its deep and rich vegetable dye colours and its complex geometric and floral patterns. While Kantha itself is an embroidery stitch that originated in Bangladesh and the eastern states of India like West Bengal, Tripura and Odisha, the Kantha stitch used here is styled by the craftsmen of Kutch, Gujarat.
